You are about to make one of the most monumental decisions of your life, a decision that will affect you for the rest of your life.

It is only natural that you should have question and concerns. The home study process is adapted to help you answer these concerns.

• You may apply if you are twenty-five years of age and have been married for at least two years.
• If you have been previously married, your present marriage must be of at least three years' duration.
• Applicants are evaluated by the agency on their ability to parent at this time.

When you first apply to Adoption Advocates, Inc., you are sent an application and information about our program and fees. The first step in your procedure is to fill out the application and return it with your application fee.

The information on the completed application will enable us to begin the adoption process and will help us better serve your special needs.

Following review and approval of your initial application, you will receive a letter that your application has been approved.

Following completion of your home study in your home state, you will need to have it forwarded along with supporting documents to Adoption Advocates, Inc. for review.

After receipt and review of your home study by Adoption Advocates, Inc., you will be notified that you have been approved for placement of a child. Adoption Advocates, Inc. does not discriminate on the basis of religious affiliation, race or ability to bear children.
